Summon Social supports Android 10 (API level 29) and later. For the best experience we recommend keeping your device on the latest version of Android your manufacturer provides.
Open the Google Play Store on your Android device, tap the search tab, type 'Summon Social', and then tap Install next to our listing. You might like to create an account using your email address and a password to make full use of the App.
The first time you open the app, Android will ask for permission to send notifications. If you previously denied this, open Settings > Apps > Summon Social > Notifications and enable 'Allow notifications'. On newer Android versions you can also customize notification channels to control sound, vibration, and priority for each type of alert.
Summon Social only requests the permissions it needs to help you connect with friends. To review or change these, go to Settings > Apps > Summon Social > Permissions and toggle each item. Starting in Android 11, some permissions auto-reset if the app isn't used for a while — you can re-grant them from this same screen.
Android App Links open in the Summon Social app when the app is installed and verified. If a link keeps opening in your browser, go to Settings > Apps > Summon Social > Open by default and make sure 'Open supported links' is enabled. Clearing defaults and reinstalling the app usually resolves lingering issues.
Open Google Play, tap your profile picture, then Manage apps & device > Updates available. Tap Update next to Summon Social, or tap Update all. You can enable auto-updates in Google Play's Settings > Network preferences > Auto-update apps to keep the app current without manual steps.
Aggressive battery optimization on some Android devices can delay or block notifications. Open Settings > Apps > Summon Social > Battery and choose 'Unrestricted' (or your device's equivalent). On Samsung, Xiaomi, OPPO, and similar devices, also check any manufacturer-specific battery or auto-start settings.
From within the App open the Account menu and enable Shake To Complain, then give the device a moderate shake when youre having a problem to bring up the reporting screen. Alternatively you can manually navigate to this window (Profile > About > Report an issue) and make a report. Either way, we'll investigate.
Account deletion is available inside the app itself. Open Summon Social, tap the Account tab, scroll to the bottom, and follow the on-screen steps. See our Account Deletion page for the full walkthrough.
